The Jacksons are a great couple. They take care of you pretty good.I snowmobile here twice a year. I may start making it more than twice a year here. Great location right near the trail. Highly recommended. P.S. great little store out front of the cabins. They'll probably have what you forgot to bring up.

We've stayed several years now on our annual gal's trip. The view of the lake is lovely and on quiet mornings, you can hear the waves of Lady Superior just down the road. The general store/gift shop has everything you need.

I have never actually roomed here, however, I do use the store often whenever I'm up there. That could be every couple weeks in the summer. It's convenient to have the ability to buy food items we might have forgotten, clothing if we didn't prepare for the weather, souvenirs and more. There is also a laundry mat attached, which is convenient for those who are camping or lodging where there is no appliances for this purpose. Staff is usually nice, but the owner can be cranky...we like her anyways. Free wifi too if you don't have cell service and need to check in at home.

Terrific accommodations for those seeking a quiet getaway. We stayed in #8 cabin - very comfortable with a futon couch and full kitchen. The store is jam packed with everything one might need and it’s great to have a laundromat right here as well. Great location for rock hunting at Muskallonge Lake State Park - Lake Superior Overlook.

My husband and I, and his parents stayed in cabin 12 for almost two weeks. This worked great for us. They have everything you need. The owners are great people. We go to this area every year but this was the first time staying in the cabins. We were very happy and enjoyed the stay.

I didn't stay at the lodge but gave the rooms five stars so this was the best possible review. My truck broke down in the woods blowing a transmission line and transmission fluid everywhere. I had an electric bike in the back of my truck so I got it out and rode 5 Mi to the store hoping crossing my fingers they might be able to help me out. Literally 30 seconds after entering the store I seen everything I need not only did they have plenty of transmission fluid for my truck they even had the repair hoses I was looking for. I thought for sure I was going to have to ask them if they had some scraps laying around out back or something of that nature. But they had it right there available for purchase what makes us extra special is the location of the store, literally out in the middle of nowhere. After 5 minutes in the store I was heading back to my truck with everything I needed to repair it after I got back to the truck 30 minutes later I was on the road again. Made it back to my campsite and knew I needed more transmission fluid so I was thinking I was going to head 40 Mi away to Newberry. But again with High Hopes I swung back into the store and told the guy, I was just in here and bought all of your transmission fluid what are the chances you might have some more in the back? He went and looked and brought out four more quarts! I purchased all four and my truck is much happier now. Very very thankful the store was there and well-stocked for my needs. If you were around the deer camp area highly recommend stopping here. Casey L

We didn’t camp at deer park but wanted to say deer parks general store is the best general store I’ve been to in Michigan. It’s so clean, well kept, shelving etc is older but it’s in pristine condition they’ve just kept everything in mint condition it’s awesome. If you need stuff definitely a perfect place to stop.
